Jared & Julianna blessed our family with the birth of Thomas Jared Foote. Born April 21, 2011 weighing in at 7lbs. 4 oz., and 19 inches long. He is most adorable and loved by so many. Julianna had to work hard, but she did amazing in getting Thomas here.
Jeff and I were able to go see him over Mother's day weekend. What a treat it was to be able to hold Thomas and give him lots of hugs and kisses. We were also able to be there when he was given a name and blessing. It was great being there.
Babies can bring such joy and love and it is wonderful to see Jared and Julianna step into the next and most exciting stage of life - parenthood. They are both natural at it and will be awesome. Thomas will have fun getting to know all of his aunts and uncles.
Now, where are my pictures you may ask???? I am at war with my computer and the down loading of my camera. I promise you will see them - patience is what we are practicing for the moment Ü (Don't mess with Grandma when she is downloading)
So much has happened so let me get to the events of life:
♥ Along with seeing Thomas, we loved spending time with Kelli, Rob, and Brian. All of my college boys own bikes now and they are enjoying the fun and fitness of biking. Brian was so excited to have the first opportunity to ride a bike with a suit. To make the occasion more memorable the weather decided to add rain to his fun. (He never rode a bike on his mission)
♥ Jared got his (MCAT) scores back and did really well. He has applied to the Texas medical schools along with some others. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Ü
♥ Rob and Kelli have moved into the attic of the Burg's Mortuary. They are having lots of fun and are blessed to have many friends who are willing to "house sit" for them on occasion when they need to leave the house in the evenings or on weekends. Rob is studying hard and will be taking his medical dental tests (DAT) soon. We are keeping our fingers crossed for he and Kelli to come here for dental school. Ü
♥ Elena is recovering from knee surgery. Her doctor told us after her surgery that he can understand now why she was in so much pain. Her meniscus was all torn up and he had to remove part of it. She is able to move her knee now, but walking on it will take some time. To cheer her up, we allowed her to dress up in her pretty prom dress and her dad took her to Mormon Prom for a few hours. She really enjoyed that - again pictures will come Ü
♥ Kacie's Pop show for choir is this weekend. She is singing and dancing in a couple of songs. Her favorite one it the song - I'm Going to the Chapel and I'm going to get Married. (She and her friends like to change the words and sing - I'm going to the Temple and I'm going to be sealed)
♥ Allan is happy with having so many friends. The Lambs have moved into our neighborhood having a son and daughter close to his age. He has lots friends from school and never has a dole moment. His challenge is balancing playing with all of these great boys he's gotten to know over the year.
♥ Darin has also discovered friends and is beginning to socialize a little bit more too. He lost one of his front teeth and soon will have the other out. He is so happy that school is almost out. He has done great in school and will be getting straight A's for the school year Ü
♥ Aimee is so excited to be an Aunt. She loves her baby Tommy as she calls him. She loves watching all the Rugrats and Carebear shows on Netflex. She is getting so tall and is such a great helper at home.
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family. I am also so grateful for my awesome husband. I love him with all my heart. Today we celebrate 26 years of wonderful married life together. I called him at 11:30 and reminded him that 26 years ago I said "yes" and he became mine forever and always. We laughed and then both were off - Jeff to a lunch with a group of people from work and I went off to a lunch with a dear group of friends. Tonight we'll go out together for an enjoyable evening. Ü
Happy anniversary! We love you and are so thankful for all you do for us. It was so awesome to have you here. We miss you!
