MAY, JUNE, JULY - WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE MONTHS!?!?!
Oh my, summer is almost gone and my poor blog needs some attention.
Kelli and Rob are happily married living far, far, far, way too far away. I miss my little girl, but I know she is a beautiful bride and is as happy as can be with Rob by her side.
Girls camp was just about as good as it can get. Everyone did their part and the spirit at camp was so awesome. Bugs - we love our bugs!!!!!!
Elena's knee surgery went really well. She ended up having her acl replaced as well. Her doctor was so impressed by how well she was doing 2 weeks after surgery that he gave her permission to go to camp. That was a real blessing for all of us.
Kacie and Elena just got back from a wonderful week at EFY. They had such a great time and met lots of great people. Their session was small but awesome.
Allan, Darin, Aimee and I have enjoyed bowling, swimming and going to Six Flags.
Brian has worked, worked, worked and then worked some more. Monday is his last day with Home Depot here in San Antonio. He and his dad are driving up to Utah on the 13th of this month and then he too will be far, far, far, way too far away from home. He will switch from working to studying come fall semester at BYU. His job at Home Depot will transfer up to Provo. He is pretty excited for that.

It's April!!!
The biggest news to announce is the engagement of our daughter Kelli to Rob (Robert) Lindeman.
Jeff and I had a wonderful weekend up in Utah during General Conference and had the opportunity to meet Rob. He is a great guy and we had a lot of fun getting to know him and his family.
I had no idea that at the end of girls camp last July I would have two weddings in a 6 months period. Oh how blessed I am!!!
Kelli and Rob are planning on being married in the San Antonio Temple June 26, 2010. We have been blessed with little miracles such as finding a beautiful wedding dress in one day.
The kids are all getting used to the idea of Kelli getting married. In fact, they are all in favor of it now - yes, that includes Allan too.

It's March already. Happy Birthday to my Sister Wendy and Brother Robert. I love you both so much and hope your birthdays are filled with joy and wonderful memories.
I'm going to give you a run down of the family. I promise not to do this all the time, but it's fun to think of each of them one by one and the great things they are doing.
I am keeping very busy with being a mom and preparing things for girls camp this year. My kids have been great at stepping up to help and I am so proud of them.
Jeff enjoyed participating in a bowl-a-thon a few weeks ago and stays busy with work and his calling. He's a great dad and loves to visit with the kids and tease them or give lots of advice and council with them.
Aimee has discovered that she likes to play games on the computer and so the competition continues as to who gets to be on and for how long.
Darin was asked a few weeks ago to give the blessing on the food. He didn't want to, but with a lot of insistence from his dad he finally decided to do it. So, he then proceeds with his blessing and asks that the food will not be poisonous.
Allan had his writing TAKS test last week. He finished around 2:30 and is glad that it's all behind him. He's helping Elena meet some goals so that they both can get a gerbil.
Kacie is enjoying playing basketball with the young women. She is really good at defense and is developing some good basketball skills.
Elena loves driving the car. She can't wait to be 16 so that mom doesn't have to be in the car with her.
Brian is searching for a job, being the handyman at home, entertaining his younger brothers and sisters, getting caught up on NCIS, attending institute and hanging out with friends. He is ready to go off to school and make something more of his life.
Kelli is doing great at school and has mastered the art of driving a standard!!!!!
Jared and Julianna are doing great and we love and miss them soooooo much. The have a bed frame for their bed, found the lost keys, enjoy being together, and just seem to be doing everything right in life.

Here it is - our family picture Ü
It was a joy going to Utah and being with Jared & Julianna and Kelli. We had a blast being together and reuniting brothers after 4 long but awesome years.
We had so much fun visiting Wendy & Brent and their family and enjoyed the kindness and hospitality of Frank and Marianne Dittmar.
Tubing/sledding was the highlight of the trip. We enjoyed Soldier Hollow as well as Jolly Ranch.
Jared & Julianna have a wonderful little home and it was great being with them and watching how happy they are and the great love they share together.
Brian survived the closeness of traveling for four days with his younger brothers and sisters and I think is cured of any hesitancy or anxiety of being around family again.
Kelli is doing good at having no choice to learn to drive a standard. She is grateful for a car and slowly but surely building confidence as she drives.
Elena, Kacie, Allan, Darin & Aimee built awesome memories as we had fun and enjoyed the new adventures that each day of our trip brought.

We are as happy as can be, Brian is home and oh how sweet it is!!
Hugs and kisses were passed around as we were finally able to physically touch Brian. However, Darin, being a little nervous, decided to kick Brian in the leg instead of the usual hug he should of given. Brian's look of shock quickly turned to a grin as he gently kicked him back to return the affection of love.
Brian came home Wednesday night and then reported his mission to the High Council on Thursday and then Sunday gave a great talk in church sharing his experiences on his mission. It's been a busy and full week, but a great one for all.

THE MISSING SHOE
(Funny story of the week)
(Funny story of the week)
After returning home from a movie with friends, Elena had literally 2 minutes before her ride to the stake dance showed up. She grab her shoes and was off for the night. The dance ended and she was searching for her shoes. She had two left foot shoes and so a search party went out to find the correct matches. An announcement was made that if someone out there had two "right" foot shoes, to come and make an exchange for the correct right and left shoe combination. No one claimed to have any of the same foot shoes. To Elena's sadness, she ended up coming home with two shoes for the same foot.
This morning as we were getting ready for church, Kacie solved the mystery. She and Elena both have the same shoes and it was Elena who took two left shoes to the dance. Poor Elena didn't seem to be bothered by the fact that she was wearing two left shoes for the first hour or so of the dance last night.

Goodness, gracious, my has time flown by. October, November and December have been some of the most exciting months in our lives.
First we are thrilled that Jared and Julianna's wedding was just perfect. They are so happy, and so much in love. We are so blessed to have Julianna and we know that she and Jared will be so happy as they start their new family together. Julianna is just as beautiful on the outside as she is inside. Jared radiates and is such a caring, loving, good looking man too. Ü
We have also enjoyed having Kelli home during the Christmas break. She brings so much joy and love and everyone benefits by being around her. She's back up at BYU and was blessed with a new job working as a receptionist. Between studies, work and church service, she keeps herself busy, busy, busy. She still takes time out to be with friends and date a cute guy every now and then. Ü
Jeff has enjoyed scanning through e-bay looking for great deals on cars. We were blessed to find a former police car for Brian and a great looking little black car for Kelli. This will help both of them as they journey through all the demands of life. Kelli's challenge will first be to learn how to drive a standard. Brian will have fun with the spot light attached to his car.
Speaking of Brian, we are counting the days, hours and minutes until he comes home!!!!! Oh, what a wonder blessing missions are, but it is good to finally get our boy home to hug and kiss him. Wed. the 20th is the big day!!!!!
